### Create Your UpReport Account

Start by signing up for a free UpReport account. You can begin with our Launch plan which includes:

- 3 Components to monitor
- 6 Uptime checks
- 100 Emails per month
- 2 Team members

#### 💡 Pro Tip

Choose a subdomain that represents your company well - this will be part of your public status page URL (e.g., yourcompany.up.report).

## 2    Adding Your First Components

### What are Components?

Components represent the services, systems, or applications you want to monitor. Examples include:

#### 🔧 Infrastructure

### Component Status Types

- **Operational**: Service is working normally
- **Degraded Performance**: Service is slow or having issues
- **Partial Outage**: Some features are unavailable
- **Major Outage**: Service is completely down
